This is the detailed route map from the popular October ride featuring Eastern Oeana County. It has only about 8 total miles of combined paved roads. The ride last fall started in town at the New Era Church but the best option is to park east of town and skip about a mile of pavement. Continue east on Garfield and park at the New Era MichCon Gate Station where the pavement ends. MapMyRide will not allow you to print copies unless you're a premium member but you can still enlarge and take clear notes from this map. It must also be known that Randy Knapp was a huge help in developing this unique route. Who else would ride over 5 hours in the rain during a reconnaissance? Plan on about 4 1/2 to 5 hours of total ride time with no options to refuel or replenish. The hills really don't start until about mile 30. ENJOY!! The next hosted ride will likely be October 3rd,2009
