AN INVITATION TO THE NEW MEXICO RECORD CHALLENGE
Sunday, April 26, 2009 at 4:17PM Forty kilometers. Six thousand, three hundred feet above sea level, with only twenty feet of total elevation change. One turn and relatively favorable, calm September winds. These are somewhat meaningless statistics until they are combined with a few others: 41 National records including 47 minutes, 35.37 seconds for individual men (John Frey in 1990), 51 minutes 36.24 seconds for individual women (Mari Holden in 1995), tandem records, masters records, junior records, and the list goes on and on.
